New Sheffield Gallery officially launches today with Ian McMillan
Independent gallery All Good Stuff invites Sheffielders to join them this evening as acclaimed South Yorkshire poet Ian McMillan cuts the ribbon to mark the official opening of the new gallery shop based in the Butcher Works.
Anne Phipps, director of All Good Stuff, a community interest company set up seven months ago said:
There are so many talented local artists and artisans who produce high quality, beautiful things and we know many people who love to support local businesses and buy locally hand-made and original work.
Providing a city centre galley-shop run on a co-operative basis is a way of bringing everything together.
All Good Stuff is the first retail outlet to be opened by a new artist-led collaborative enterprise which aims to promote and sell the work of Sheffield artists, makers and designers.
The gallery showcases a wide range of hand-crafted arts and crafts made by more than 40 established and emerging independent artists and artisans from Sheffield and the surrounding area.
Acclaimed poet, performer and broadcaster Ian McMillan will cut the ribbon at the celebration, happening tonight at the Butcher Works, next to Fusion Cafe, between 6pm-8.30pm.
We are absolutely thrilled that Ian McMillan agreed to open our gallery and are extremely grateful for his support for our creative venture.
Look out for our feature about the story behind All Good Stuff and how it all started in the next few days.
