Almost 400 cyclists take part in Sheffield’s Ride for Eric – Video
Two weeks ago 377 people took part in the inaugural Ride for Eric event on a sunny Sunday morning. Sheffield’s independent multimedia production company, Humbledinger were there to film the event and to find out what Eric’s family and friends thought of the day.
The 2014 Ride for Eric was organised by family, friends and colleagues to mark the life of “an amazing man”, Eric Codling. Eric was killed last November by a drunk driver whilst riding his bike along Whirlowdale road.

The event on Sunday 21st September attracted families, novices, new and professional cyclists who took part in a 6K, 16K or 50K route around Sheffield and through the Peak District.
Cyclists who took part in Ride for Eric raised money for Cavendish Cancer Care, a Sheffield charity dedicated to improving the quality of life for people living with cancer.
